Marking National Day for Truth and Reconciliation: Bringing the TRC Workshop to Your Community

Every September 30th, Canada pauses to observe the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation — a day to honour residential school Survivors, their families, and the communities still carrying that history forward. At Kamamak Consulting, we believe this day is most meaningful when it becomes more than a moment of reflection. It can be a doorway into real learning, real conversation, and real change.

What the TRC Workshop Offers

Our TRC Workshop is a 3-hour program designed to be accessible and meaningful for staff, students, and community members alike. It is aligned with Truth & Reconciliation Call to Action #27, which calls for ongoing education on the history and legacy of residential schools, the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, and Aboriginal-Crown relations.

Delivered virtually and grounded in culturally rooted teaching, the workshop walks participants through history with care — creating space for honest reflection without overwhelming those encountering this history for the first time.
